Victoria Street in east Vancouver has a huge populous of Vietnamese/ Malaysians dot the street with signage that is hard to decipher. I just walk in and check out the menu and look around at who’s eating what. These small eateries are very open most with cafeteria style seating. They like when person who looks like he is well fed comes in a takes a seat like a regular. What’s the special of this casa? The answer comes from a young college diner, it’s Poppa Moon’s Pad Thai. …After a few short conversations I find that this family was well known in Penang Province for their tasty versions of street food on a leaf. All came with spice chili’s, coconut flakes, crushed roasted peanuts, sprouts and key lime. One nice shrimp, one chunk of lemon grass marinated chicken thigh all wok fried in rice glass noodles. I had a lime squash to wash it down. Mighty tasty and well worth the 10 bucks.
